#15 The future of Libraries

Libraries are making use of the open, programmable web.

There will eventually be less in print collection. Patrons will read on the computer.

Technology is being made easier by one button commands and easy-to-use programs.

Library services will come to the patron (user) through the computer.

instant messaging allows librarians to meet users online.

Recent professional articles are easy to obtain online.

Librarians help users become their own programming director for the content available to them.

Technology is impacting the library.

Personally, I do not like reading on the computer. I prefer my book in print.

I found this article very interesting . It is about the technological advancement of one library system.

technology

I am fascinated and amazed at the technology that is out there now.

I really like all that you can do with pictures, store them, print them, e-mail them.

It is really cool.

I wish I could understand and wasnt so uncomfortable about it all.

I do not understand the need for tags. They dont make much sense to me.
They are the same such as books, bookstores.

I put some of my favorites in delicious but I dont see this as being useful for me.

I am fine with them in favorites.

our "happy" place

our "happy" place, originally uploaded by Supercapacity.

This looks so peaceful to me. I love looking at the water.

This was my attempt at generating an image. I don't think I did it right but, I didn't understand it. I kept asking people but no one would actually show me. Mine is just someone else's picture that I liked. I got it from a generating image site.
